Description

On behalf of the German International School New York (GISNY), we are pleased to announce our annual fundraising event: the GISNY Gala to be held on April 2nd, 2022 at the Surf Club on the Sound in New Rochelle.

The Gala is our largest fundraising event, where we collect funds to support capital development projects that significantly improve the learning environment and educational excellence at GISNY. To make this possible, we are reaching out to you for support.

GISNY is an independent non-profit school (grades pre-K through 12) located in White Plains, Westchester County, NY. It provides an academically outstanding bilingual education to local and expat children alike. GISNY is the only school in the tristate area, where graduates earn both the New York State High School Diploma and the German International Abitur, a globally recognized diploma, which facilitates access to universities worldwide.

The evening will include among other things, a formal dinner, a magic show with Illusionist Eric Wilzig, live music and dancing, live and online auctions and a paddle raise with over 250 attendees representing more than 30 nationalities. This year, we are particularly proud to welcome Mrs. Tomoko Masur as our Honoree. She played a vital role in the school’s most successful fundraiser, the addition of the gym and running track in 2000, and she and her husband, the eminent conductor Kurt Masur, have greatly enriched and supported our school.
