Turner Construction Company Foundation holds an annual fundraising gala for Iowa local charities. This year we still will be working with Iowa local charities to raise funds for our event this year on June 5th at Curate in the East Village.

University of Iowa Children's Hospital Extenuating Circumstances Fund
Provides families with gas cards, hotel stays, and meal cards to help when their child is being cared for at the UI Children’s Hospital. Also provides funeral expenses for families in need.
Iowa State Science Bound Program
Nine-year program designed to increase the number of ethnically and racially diverse Iowa youth to earn degrees in ASTEM (Agriculture, Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) disciplines. 
UnityPoint Blank Children's Hospital Child Life Specialist Program
This program makes the experience of receiving care at the hospital a little less scary for the children. The specialists walk alongside the patient and families to help them navigate their experience. That could mean playing with a young child to help them understand what an upcoming procedure will entail or talking with parents about the intricacies of navigating life with a baby in the NICU or giving patients/siblings/family a break from the stress of dealing with a medical emergency. There are about 25 CLS positions at BCH and they are funded entirely by philanthropy.
We will be holding a silent auction as a main source of fundraising and along with a few raffle opportunities. All donors will have their name on printed programs at each place setting along with your name advertised on the silent auction table.
