Hope's Front Door, located in Downers Grove, IL,  is currently collecting raffle prizes for our upcoming GLITZ AND GAMES, Playing for Hope Gala on October 13th at Bobak’s Signature Events in Woodridge. The gala will include dinner, games to win prizes and music/dancing as well as an opportunity to learn more about Hope’s Front Door. 

Your donation will be used during the event for a raffle, but also prior to the event online line for raffle ticket purchase. The event is to raise money to support a substantial increase in the number of clients, in DuPage County, assisted since the start of this year. When compared to same time last year, we have seen a 158% increase in the number of households requesting assistance with food, transportation, toiletries, infant care items (diapers, etc.), prescription medication as well as oral and vision healthcare. Many of those seeking help are women, head of household, with young children. The lingering economic impacts of the pandemic, coupled with the increased cost of goods and services, means that some in our community are struggling to maintain or attain a stable household. HFD, with our safety net services and our education programs (financial literacy, job readiness and well-being), are helping neighbors in need.
