Welcome to the second annual Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf Foundation (MSADF) fundraiser. This year’s event will happen the evening of March 9th, in Faribault, Minnesota. For those who haven’t heard about MSADF it is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that supports the Faribault Deaf School students when funding is short, events, and/or activities are barred by lack of personal financial resources. This year with a majority of our funding we are hoping to help expand the Robotics Program. The newly added Robotics Program is a recent addition to the MSAD campus. Our students found quick success with this additional extra curricular activity. This year’s goal is to be able to help support students achieve their goals  while keeping costs as affordable as possible.

Last year was our pilot year creating a learning curve for us to build off of for this year. Last year we hosted a casino themed game night, players would purchase tickets that convert to chips that they may play with during the night. Additional chips can be purchased to continue if luck is not on your side. Rather than cash outs, chips will convert into raffle tickets participants can place in the prize baskets they hope to win. Participants really enjoyed this approach to fundraising and will continue again this year. The theme this year is “Go West or Bust” in addition to providing a space large enough for community members Deaf/DeafBlind/Hard or Hearing/signing fluent folks to gather and enjoy each other's company. Drawings for winners will then take place at the end of the evening. Sponsored baskets/prizes will be advertised and players/participants will be encouraged to show our appreciation in turn by going to that business. Different sponsors and businesses will be highlighted during the evening. 

We hope to be able to add the Children’s Theatre Company to our list of donors especially for our performing arts loving community members. I do want to take the time to thank you for your time and consideration. I know that you are asked to donate to many different organizations throughout the year and appreciate the work and time it takes to decide which organizations to donate to.
