Our May gala is an annual fundraiser meant to celebrate the advances of Legal Council's mission, showcase the life-saving victories made on behalf of clients, and to thank our incredible supporters. This year's theme for the 7th Annual May Ball is Jazz and the Harlem Renaissance, and will be remote. It will feature refreshments, food, and streamed music. During the program, Legal Council shares recent successes in the fight for health justice and updates on our high stakes lawsuits filed on behalf of Illinoisans. Philanthropic support is essential in ensuring those who would otherwise not have a champion in the fight for health justice have someone from Legal Council in their corner. Over 100 guests will be present including leaders in law, medicine, government, & business. All proceeds directly support our programs providing free help to individuals with low incomes living with disabilities. Like our supporters and stakeholders, Legal Council values honesty and transparency. That's why we take the opportunity in fundraisers to share with supporters what is made possible by their investment. Through strong relationships with people across Illinois, we can build better and healthier communities for all.
