Holt High School Grad Night, June 4th, 2023. This event is a big deal for our graduating class. Graduation night is one of the most dangerous nights for seniors with drinking and driving. This event is an alcohol and drug free event and keeps these kids safe. This is a lock in event and lasts all night. Community members and parents attend to chaparone. At this event we also provide these kids with items they request to suceed in life after high school. Many of our kids going off to college are asking for things like luggage, laptops, gas cards, and clothing, many who are joining our Armed Forces are needing pre paid phones and calling cards. Our event tries to provide as many needed items as possible. While we do have games and prizes to keep these kids entertained, our first priority is to supply the kids in need with their requested items. We are beyond grateful for any contribution we receive. Our seniors give back to the community as well, we are currently hosting a shoe drive where we will donate over 2,500 pairs of gently used shoes to homeless Veterans and underprivileged families, as well as a fundraiser where our seniors deliver Easter Egg Baskets to assissted living facilities and retirement communities. While these fundraisers do generate a small amount of money, it is not much. But we think the services they provide are more important.
