It’s an all-night party of thoroughly extravagant proportions thrown each June exclusively for the graduating class by the parents, district teachers, staff, local businesses, and the community. Grad Nite is organized by Samohi Grad Nite, a parent-run 501(c)(3) non-profit booster (Tax ID# 95-4423548).  Our Steering Committee consists of current and alumni parents of Samohi students, dedicated to keeping our seniors safe.

The rite of passage for graduates involves taking a cruise to the destination of their choice - without ever leaving campus. Grad Nite is a drug and alcohol-free graduation party that keeps our students safe, sober, and alive on what is statistically the most dangerous night of their lives. Over the last 29 years, we have kept over 16,000 students safe and sober averaging 85 - 95% attendance.

Grad Nite will take place from 9:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The tennis courts are transformed into a cruise ship and the evening includes a DJ, dancing, carnival, casino games, food, many prizes, and much more!
