Dear Community Supporter-

For over 40 years, Grand Lake Montessori (GLM) has prepared Oakland and East Bay's children for success in elementary school and beyond, a critical investment in the future of our city. We are in need of your support for our annual fundraiser, Grand Night Out.  This year we are inviting everyone out for an evening of “Glamping with GLM”.  This annual event would not be possible without the support and generosity of our greater community. We are accepting monetary donations as well as items for our silent auction, which is carefully curated to showcase the donated provisions and experiences. 

Our tuition assistance program, funded by proceeds from our annual Grand Night Out event, will subsidize tuition costs for families who otherwise would not be able to attend Grand Lake Montessori. We are asking for your help to continue these efforts by donating to our Grand Night Out fundraiser to be held on April 20, 2024. In addition to supporting these children and their families directly, a donation to GLM sends a clear signal that local businesses and leaders share our vision for equitable access to excellent education. All supporting businesses will be acknowledged in our community newsletter and marketing literature for the year.  

We believe that every child - regardless of race, ethnicity, background, first language, and income level deserves the excellent early childhood education that GLM provides. GLM is an independent Montessori day-school educating children 18 months through 12 years old. Founded in 1978, GLM has achieved remarkable success in pursuit of its mission. For example:
