Youth and adults participating in 4-H have the biggest hearts and lend their hands to so much work.  My focus this year is on gratitude to those individuals that make learning possible.  From the volunteers that step up to run a meeting, to those opening up their farms to host educational workshops, without them, our youth would not get the well-rounded experiences that they have the opportunity to participate in.

Each year, at the Polk County Fair, I host a gratitude booth for 4-H youth members to write thank you notes to those volunteers that have had a major impact on their lives.  Because many of these youth are involved in so much throughout the fair, I offer an incentive program to encourage them to stop by and write a thank you note.  Every note they write enters them into a drawing for prizes and tickets to any local attractions would be a huge motivator for them.  

Sponsors of tickets are advertised throughout the buildings at the Polk County Fair, as well as emailed out to participants.
