Soddy Daisy Community Library is a volunteer run library that receives no government funds for its operations. The Great Holiday Auction is our largest fundraiser and it provides funds to cover rent, utilities and helps keep all programming free. We have expanded this year to over 26,000 books. We now offer cooking, wood working, ukalele and art classes. We have built 4 hoop houses and are growing produce for our local food bank while teaching sustainability work shops. We have members in 9 counties surrounding our rural community and have our period poverty program in 5 schools. We will be having our Halloween Eekstravaganza this weekend with trunk or treat, games cooking contests, petting zoo, tractor show and a spooky movie afterwards. We are anticipating over 2500 participants with all events free of charge.
