Girl Scouts of Virginia Skyline serves 7,500 girls and volunteers in 36 counties throughout Central, Western, Southside, and Southwestern Virginia. Headquartered in Roanoke, VA, the council provides Girl Scouting opportunities for girls 5-17 from every demographic.

The council's annual Gold and Green Gala fundraiser supports general operating costs. The council invites and makes available tickets to any person who wishes to attend, targeting donors, volunteers, grantors, and sponsors. Media coverage includes: print, TV, web, social media, and through eblasts and the councils website. Sponsors, donors, and in - kind donations are recognized throughout the year as well as in the council's annual report.
