The Dedham School of Music is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing quality and affordable music education experiences to Dedham, Boston, and surrounding communities. We work with underfunded public schools to give elementary students the musical exposure they deserve. We also offer private lessons, classes, community ensembles, and free performances.

We serve approximately 300 students annually across several locations, including but not limited to Dedham, Boston, Hyde Park, Roxbury, West Roxbury, Wellesley, Roslindale, Norwood, Needham. Our students come from all economic and cultural backgrounds, and range in age from less than one year to over 70 years of age. 

Over 80% of our expenses each year go directly toward program services, which include providing financial aid to qualifying families.

Our annual fundraising gala features a live band, food and drink, and silent and live auctions. We expect between 150 and 200 guests this year, and hope to raise over $15,000. Revenue directly benefits our financial aid fund; we strive to grow the number of low income families we serve each year.
