The Guardian Angel Dinner Dance is Catholic Charities' signature fundraising event and is a wonderful celebration and salute to some very special people who have positively impacted our ability to meet the needs of the poor and vulnerable.

Awards include:
The Richard J. Hughes, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton Humanitarian Award: In 1992, Catholic Charities instituted the Humanitarian award and named it after Governor Richard J. Hughes (and presented by his son, Judge John J. Hughes) to recognize his great support and commitment to the work of Catholic Charities. It is presented to an outstanding leader with a commitment to humanitarian causes; a devoted advocate of Catholic Charities and the betterment of mankind in general; who strives to improve the quality of life of individuals across all economic and social lines through dedication and compassion.

Light of Hope Award(s) (Burlington/Mercer/Monmouth/Ocean): Honoring a person/persons in Burlington, Mercer, Monmouth and Ocean Counties for their support and commitment to the work of Catholic Charities in their individual community.

Corporate Citizen of the Year Award: Recognition of a corporation who has partnered with Catholic Charities to support our goals with their support and commitment.

Client Achievement Award: Presented to a Catholic Charities’ consumer that has successfully utilized agency services and epitomizes Catholic Charities’ mission to alleviate suffering and improve the quality of life of individuals and families.

Marlene Laó-Collins, executive director of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Trenton, said “The celebration is a great opportunity for us to tell the story of the transforming impact Catholic Charities makes in our community for children, youth, and adults.
