The Green Woods Foundation for Environmental Education is excited to host the 20th Celebration and Silent Auction in support of Green Woods Charter School, which will be held Friday November 4, 2022 at the Germantown Cricket Club.  

Located in Northwest Philadelphia, Green Woods Charter School provides a rigorous education for almost 700 students from grades K to 8 that cultivates a lifelong passion for learning and instills students’ deep understanding of the natural world, their place in it, and responsibility within it. Everyday our students continually apply what they learn in their classrooms to the real world and the outdoor environment.Both inside and outside the classroom, our students work collaboratively as they gain the skills necessary to take an active role in solving issues that affect them, their homes, their schools, their communities, and the environment. The money raised at the auction will support our Green STEM pathways, including the creation of a school yard habitat and outdoor learning laboratory. We hope to raise more than $25,000 to help with this effort.   

Green Woods is a non-profit school, with a mission to provide children with the opportunity to be knowledgeable and conscientious young investigators of the natural world.  Educators and parents work together to support the social, emotional and educational needs of our students.  To that end, Green Woods Foundation for Environmental Education is raising money to help our school use their innovative curriculum to energize our students, empower our teachers and embrace our children’s differences.
