Description

Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity’s annual fundraiser this year will be a special one - celebrating our
30 th year in Fremont! What better way to do that than to have a Habitat HOMEComing! This memorable
night will feature fun, food and fundraising!
The event will be held on Saturday, April 22 nd at Midland University’s Hopkins Arena and is open to the
public with advanced ticket purchase. The evening will kick off with a Social Hour starting at 5:30 p.m.
and dinner at 7:00 pm.
We are requesting donations for Silent Auction items. Our Silent Auction is a large part of our
fundraising, and we would be grateful to have a wide variety of items. Items could be a gift card or gift
certificate, a themed basket, a popular item (ie., yeti cooler, bottle of tequila, etc.), tickets to an event or
activity, etc. We appreciate creativity!
All items will be available for bidding by phone and will include a picture and recognition of the donor.
Throughout the evening attendees (and even non-attendees) will have a chance to bid on these items.

Habitat for Humanity seeks to eliminate inadequate housing and to make decent shelter for everyone a
matter of conscience. Habitat for Humanity builds in countries all over the world without regard to
ethnicity, race, or creed. Fremont Area Habitat for Humanity partners with volunteers and future
homeowners to build simple, decent, and affordable homes that are funded by tax-deductible donations of
money and materials, fundraising events, grants, our HomeStore and mortgage payments. Houses are
sold – never given away – to partner families for the cost of construction at no profit to Habitat. Habitat
provides no-interest loans to partner families who put in hundreds of hours of “sweat equity” into their
homes. This makes mortgage payments affordable for the families.
In Fremont, 92 Habitat Homes have been completed since 1993. Two additional homes are in process with
another beginning soon. This can only happen with strong community support through events like this.
