I hope this finds you well. I am reaching out to you as a volunteer for the Texas Junior Roller Derby team (TXJRD) in Austin, Texas. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit junior sports club, we have been dedicated to building character and leadership through the sport of roller derby for skaters aged 8-17 since our establishment in 2014. Our organization is run entirely by parent volunteers who are passionate about fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for our young athletes.

 
We are excited to announce our 2nd annual Halloween Skate-A-Thon and raffle fundraiser, which will take place on October 26. Last year, our event drew over 500 participants, and we anticipate an even bigger turnout this year. To make this event a success, we are reaching out to request your assistance through contributions of merchandise, services, or gift cardsthat will excite our participants and contribute significantly to our fundraising efforts.

 
Last year marked an extraordinary milestone for TXJRD as we embarked on our first-ever journey to the post-season playoffs in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Our team was able to make it to the tournament thanks to generous donors, such as yourself, helping in our fundraising efforts. Our players are excited to plan for this season’s post-season tournament again, but many of them face financial constraints that hinder their ability to attend this trip. As an organization committed to inclusivity and accessibility, TXJRD is dedicated to supporting all players regardless of their financial circumstances.
