New Covenant Schools is a private, Christian school in Lynchburg, VA serving students in grades PK-12.  Our students, faculty/staff, and parent volunteers (500+ individuals) participate annually in a school-wide community service day in which we help local non-profit groups complete projects they would not be able to without enormous help.  We are working to benefit three local groups focused on servicing those who are underprivileged in our area - The Salvation Army, The Arc of Central Virginia, and Rush Homes.  We are currently raising funds to underwrite this project and will give a portion of these monies to the groups we are serving.  Last year this event collected proceeds greater than $50,000.
