Headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, Makindu Children’s Program is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that supports a day resource facility called Makindu Children’s Centre (the Center) in a rural region of eastern Kenya. Hundreds of children come to the Center regularly for food, recreation, bathing and laundry facilities, emotional support, crisis intervention, and playtime with other kids.

Our event is to raise money for the Makindu Children’s Program, a nonprofit that supports the Makindu Children’s Centre in Kenya, which provides foster home placement with guardians from the community, education and nutritional and medical care to hundreds of orphans and vulnerable children.

Last year we were able to raise $15,000 in donations, however this year we aspire to double that donation to $30,000. We are seeking donations in the form of monetary gifts, gift cards, or an item or experience from your business to go into our silent auction and raffle that we will be holding to raise money for MCC.
