Homeless Animals Rescue Team, www.HART90.org, has been saving the lives of dogs and cats for 33 years! We rescued animals from many sources including high-kill shelters in multiple states as well as supporting our community when someone needs to rehome a pet. This year, with shelters overflowing, we have rescued a record number of animals. A few times, we've even cleared out a whole rural shelter! Because of this, our veterinary expenses this year have been sky high. We are hosting a 5k fun run and walk to help raise money for our medical fund. This event is open to runners, walkers, dogs and families. It's the race to save lives! We are providing snacks, water and goody bags to our participants. Aferwards, we are having an after party with a huge assortment of raffle prizes. All donors are featured on our event website at www.PawsnPints5k.com as well as on social media and in our mass emails that reach approximately 16,000 people.
