Description

Rivera Elementary's Harvest Festival is a carnival style festival that features food, games, raffles, and other activities in order to raise funds for fifth grade Science Camp. The main activity at the Harvest Festival is the Trunk-or-Treat, where one can purchase tickets to go around decorated cars and get a treat, similar to Trick-or-Treating. The festival is organized by teachers and volunteers, and 100% of the funds from this event, and from Trunk-or-Treat, go towards sending our fifth graders to Science Camp. Rivera Elementary is an underprivileged, Title I, public school that serves low-income families. With the support of donations, fundraisers like the Harvest Festival and Trunk-or-Treat make a significant difference in the educational endeavors of our students.
