The Gatehouse's 3rd Annual "Healing the Voice Within" Art Exhibit and Silent Auction

The Gatehouse is raising awareness and funds to support The Gatehouse, a community based charitable organization that provides much needed support, resources and community to survivors of childhood sexual abuse. The Gatehouse also, provides a safe place for children to disclose their abuse to police and child welfare workers and receive crisis support. 

1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys will be sexually assaulted before they reach the age of 18

The Gatehouse "Healing the Voice Within fundraiser is a one-of-a-kind art exhibit that gives voice and healing to those traumatized by childhood sexual abuse, and will help raise awareness and much-needed funds for programs and services. 

Dozens of powerful art images on display come from a 12-week visual arts support group at The Gatehouse facilitated by Lacey Ford of Full Circle Art Therapy Centre and local artists.

This art support group offers abuse survivors the opportunity to break the silence and is just one of the many therapeutic initiatives at The Gatehouse.

The Gatehouse annual Healing the Voice Within Exhibit is an extension of its mission to provide a safe place where everyone has a voice, and finds healing and empowerment by putting into pictures and words the trauma, struggle and challenges that are indescribable to many survivors.

Healing the Voice Within Art Exhibit and Silent Auction is expecting various community organizations, police services agencies and media to be present. The Gatehouse is delighted to announce that, Hon.
