Description

I would like to invite you to participate in a very special event.   We are planning our first annual Healthy Harvest Online Auction. Your involvement will help to make this a huge success.

The Cambridge Food Bank is a non-profit organization that offers food and programming to people and community groups in need within Cambridge and North Dumfries in the hopes of creating a compassionate, equitable community, where everyone is nourished.

Our services extend beyond simply providing food. Our programs are designed to build skills that help people move out of the cycle of poverty. We offer a full range of programs within our facility including: the provision of Emergency Food Assistance, Infant, Youth, Adult and Seniors Program. Programs provided by outside agencies available at our facility include Family Counselling Centre of Cambridge and North Dumfries and House of Friendship’s Family Outreach.

The proceeds of the auction will go towards our newest program, the Mobile Food Market – a market on wheels that delivers fresh, nutrient dense food to neighborhoods throughout our community. This program launched in 2021 and is becoming more popular by the day. We have just launched our 8th site and plan to add more stops soon.

The goal for this auction is $26,000 which will allow us to purchase fresh food for three months.

We’re in the process of collecting merchandise and experiences to include in the auction and I’m hoping you will contribute to making this campaign a success. By donating an item, you will be helping the Cambridge Food Bank continue to help make life better for individuals in need, right here in our community.

We recognize the generosity of auction donors in a variety of ways:

·         Your item and description will be listed on the auction platform with company name and logo.

·         Acknowledgement letter from Executive Director, Dianne McLeod

·         Tax receipt

·         A feature in eblasts advertising the event (distribution to 3000+ subscribers)

·         Promotion on our various social media platforms.

Please consider donating to this worthwhile cause.  You may reach me anytime at via the contact info listed below.
