As a resource navigator, I am fortunate enought to be able to allocate resources that families need to improve their way of life. I provide them with basic needs, refere them to mental health centers, advocate for physical health and find them legal aid. It is very important that although resources are scarce, children have the opporunity to come to school and feel safe and supported. Students deserve recognition for their hard work, whether that be perfect attendance, showing developmental improvement, or simply being kind. As the Student and Family resource navigator for this small underserved community. I'd like to show them gratitude for seeking out help when needed. We will be honoring our families and students during more than one specific event. As of now, the focus would be to give back to the community for the holidays.
