On Friday, October 13, 2023, The Elizabeth Hospice will host Heart & Soul, an evening of live music, bbq dinner and dancing. Proceeds from this event benefit our Children’s Bereavement Program, which provides grief support services, free of charge, to our community’s children and teens, including families who do not have a patient affiliation with The Elizabeth Hospice.

 One in 17 children in California will experience the death of a parent or sibling before they reach the age of 18. That’s why caring for our community’s children is a critical element of The Elizabeth Hospice’s mission. We offer the most comprehensive range of children’s bereavement services in San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County. Funds raised at Heart & Soul help provide:

School-based grief support groups as well as training school staff in 19 school districts
Peer-based grief support groups in our two Children’s Bereavement Centers
Camp Spero, a summer camp that combines grief-related activities with traditional camp fun
Community grief education and support for students and faculty during a crisis
 

As a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of businesses like yours to make it possible to offer these services free of charge to all families in our community.
