On Friday, October 18, 2024, The Elizabeth Hospice will host our annual Heart & Soul event, a memorable evening of live music, BBQ dinner, and dancing. This year’s event will benefit our Children’s Bereavement Program, which provides vital grief support services to children and teens. In California, one in 17 children will experience the death of a parent or sibling before they turn 18. Our services are free of charge to all families in the community and do not require an affiliation with The Elizabeth Hospice.

Supporting these young individuals is a core aspect of The Elizabeth Hospice’s mission. We are proud to offer the most comprehensive range of children’s bereavement services in San Diego County and Southwest Riverside County. Funds raised through Heart & Soul directly support:

• School-based grief support groups as well as training school staff in 25 school districts
• Peer-based grief support groups in our two Children’s Bereavement Centers
• Camp Spero, a summer camp that combines grief-related activities with traditional camp fun
• Crisis support when there is a community tragedy
   

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of businesses like yours to offer these services at no cost to families.
