The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas was founded as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving children affected by the loss of a loved one. Today, we serve thousands of children, caregivers, and community members every year through ongoing support groups, individual and family counseling, and professional education and training programs. As the demand for our services has continued to grow we have responded by adding, adapting, and enhancing our programs to fully meet the needs of children and families living with grief.  This year was a milestone year for the Center:  our permanent facility in Uvalde was dedicated in June 2023, and the central location in San Antonio continues to provide counseling services, support groups, family meal nights and camps to grieving children on an ongoing and ever-growing basis -- all at no charge to clients.

Tickets to our Hearts in Harmony Gala are $250 each, and there will be 600+ attendees; last year, the Silent Auction raised just over $58,000, contributing to the overall total of $500,000 raised that evening. The Center's newsletters are also sent to 1,500 individuals, recognizing all Silent Auction donors and inviting recipients to participate in the online silent auction even if they're not attending the event.
