Description

Dear potential sponsor:

Jr. Jacket Robotics was founded in 2016 and is a 501c3 organization. We support both boys and girls in grades 6th -8th that are interested in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). The point of our program is to help kids learn S.T.E.M. through VEX robotics while having fun and to grow our community.

Our program doesn’t charge any fees to the students and is funded by charitable contributions from local businesses and members of the community. We feel that if we were to charge any fees it would limit the number of students that could take advantage of this program and we want to provide this opportunity to as many students as we can in our community. We have remained a free after-school program since 2016 and would very much like to continue the tradition.

We are currently in our Sixth season as an organization. Our teams have competed at robot competitions across Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Ohio, and Kentucky. Our students have represented our community with integrity, selflessness, and dedication. Jr. Jacket Robotics has had team representation at the Create U.S. Open Robotics Championship and The Vex Worlds Robotics Championship every year since 2016.

Designing, building, and programming robots to compete in tournaments across multiple states is not a cheap endeavor. Every year it costs $910.00 to field one team. Currently, Jr. Jacket Robotics has five teams that compete. We also have program expenses, replacement parts, computer equipment, and tournament gear that we are also responsible for.

This is where you can help us! Jr. Jacket Robotics is constantly looking for help, not only financially, but for volunteers to help with our yearly tournaments. Jr. Jacket Robotics is confident that with combined financial and volunteer support from dedicated sponsors like you, the team will fulfill the required registration, material, equipment, and travel costs for the upcoming season.

We will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction Fund Raiser. We are looking for donors to provide a donation or sponsorship to our 501c3 Robotics program. Gift cards or branded items offered would be used in our annual charity auction. The proceeds from the auction along with monetary sponsorships help to sponsor new teams, replace needed robotics components, and compete in tournaments including Vex Worlds Tournament "https://www. roboticseducation.org/vex- robotics-world-championship/".
