Dear Donation Match,

Please accept this donation request on behalf of Hembree Springs Elementary School and the Hembree Springs PTA (501C3, tax id #58-2616970).  We appreciate your consideration and would love for you to be partner with us this year. We would love it if you were able to donate tickets or other items for our Hembree Runs Wild raffle. Typically we have around 400 participants.

This year we are hosting our 9th annual Hembree Runs Wild 5K and 1K Cub Run on May 2, 2020. This event serves as a fundraiser for PTA activities. As a Title 1 school, many of our families appreciate the additional support that our PTA provides. We are encouraging all of our 400 families to participate as well as our surrounding communities.

Part of the festival will include a basket raffle to help raise money for our enrichment fund. Your donation would be included in and promoted with our basket raffle. Your donation means that we can continue to offer a series of activities for our students (ages 4-12). Enrichment activities are used to promote, reinforce and extend the curriculum for our diverse student population.  Activities include:

Science Days which gives students and family members a chance to make science come to life through hands-on, safe and curriculum appropriate science experiments
Book Publishing which enables all students to create, write and illustrate a story of his/her choosing
·       Book Clubs which fosters reading for enjoyment and opportunities for critical thinking and discussion
·       Giving Closet provide our students who are not home secure with basic essentials and school supplies as needed
Reflections which encourages creative expression through visual arts, writing, photography, dance and music. Student Newspaper which produces a quarterly newspaper highlighting student articles and art work
Healthy Lifestyles which promotes health and well-being through nutrition and exercise education
Red Ribbon week which promotes character education
We also financially support field trips and assemblies, student agendas / planners and test preparation

We love to acknowledge our business partners. Please know that the name and logo of companies providing donations will be promoted to all participants.

If you would like more information about the Hembree Runs Wild, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you for your consideration,
