Good morning,

I am pleased to announce that the 46th annual HEROES, Inc.  golf tournament will be held on Thursday, July 14th and Friday, July 15th, at our new location, Twin Lakes Golf Course in Clifton, Virginia (http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/golf/twinlakes).  All proceeds from this event will go directly towards the educational scholarship fund which guarantees an all-expense paid college scholarship to all dependent children of law enforcement officers and firefighters who have been killed in the line of duty.  As of January 1, 2016, there are 196 law enforcement officers and firefighters on the “Roll of Honor”.

HEROES, Inc. was chartered in 1964 and is a non-profit organization serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. HEROES, Inc. has quietly served the needs of 142 families and 239 dependent children for federal and local jurisdictions to include the FBI, Secret Service, DEA, ATF, United States Marshals, U.S. Capitol Police, U.S. Park Police, as well as Metropolitan Police Department, Virginia State Police, Maryland State Police, Alexandria PD, Fairfax County PD, Montgomery County PD, Prince George’s County PD, and Prince William County PD, to name a few.  

Our organization’s ability to continue this annual event is in large part due to your generous support and we are hopeful that you are in a position to again assist in such a noble cause.  We are seeking exciting items to include in our raffle and silent auction such as gift certificates, gift cards, hotel vouchers, golf foursomes, gift baskets, apparel, merchandise, etc. The HEROES, Inc. golf tournament draws close to 500 golfers and I am proud to say that last year we raised close to $30,000 from the raffle and silent auction alone.
