Wesely Community Service Center Hosts Fundraising Luncheon to Support Children STEM Programs
PORTSMOUTH, Virginia--- This fall, the Wesley Community Service Center invites members of the Portsmouth community to the “Wesley HERO Awards” luncheon on October 9, 2019, at the Women’s Club of Portsmouth. This year’s heroes awards honor Reverend Marvin Leathers, Portsmouth Sherrif Michael Moore and local business SimIS Inc. for their outstanding support.
Sponsorship and ticket proceeds of the “Wesley HERO Awards” will help fund youth STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs offered by WCSC. STEM classes give the community’s children a chance to learn new skills outside the classroom and engage in safe, educational activities.
Tickets to the luncheon will be $40 a person and there are still sponsorships available! There are levels of sponsorship ranging from receiving a title sponsorship to purchasing table at the luncheon. Sponsorship is a wonderful way to support an incredible cause that is making a difference here in Portsmouth.
WCSC believes in connecting people to people and communities to communities through quality programs, services and advocacy. To help WCSC fulfill their mission please go to www.wesleycenterportsmouth.org or www.facebook.com/wesleycenterportsmouth/ for event tickets and sponsorship information.
