Herron Classical Schools is the network of schools that includes Herron High School, Herron-Riverside High School and Herron Preparatory Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana. We are 501c-3 Non-profit, public, tuition-free, college prep, charter schools, open to any student in Indiana on a first come, first serve basis. The schools do not select students on the basis of merit or academic achievement and serve an intentionally racially and socioeconomically diverse student population.

Our schools have been ranked as some of the best schools in the nation by Newsweek, US News and World Report and The Washington Post. We are also a 2020 recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Schools award from the US. Department of Education. And we do it all with about 33% less funding than other central Indiana public schools.

We are founded on the belief that a classical, liberal arts education, where students are steeped in great historical thought and invention is the best preparation for a future life of leadership and service.

The Herron Classical Schools Second Annual Movie Night will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022. This socially-distant, outdoor event is HCS’ flagship fundraising event and expects to welcome over 200 vehicles, translating to approximately 600 guests. Our goal is to raise $70,000 through event sponsorships, an online auction, and ticket sales in support of our scholars' education. We are currently seeking donations for the silent auction and are asking that you please consider a contribution. Your gift will support HCS 's ability to provide an equitable education to our community's youth.
