The Hickey Elementary PTA plays an important role in the lives of over 511 students. We are
asking for your assistance in making our annual silent auction a great success. Last year, we
raised over $5,000. This year we hope to raise $10,000.
The Hickey Elementary PTA is committed to continuously supporting our All Stars. Our
mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and
communities to advocate for all children. We embrace and celebrate our ethnically and
economically diverse population that includes students who live in east Plano, Allen and
Parker.
Families at Hickey Elementary are never asked for money to pay for field trips, programs or parties. The monies raised during our
annual auction, our biggest fundraiser of the year, are a key component in OUR ability to fund field trips, school programs and
equipment, educational classroom supplies, classroom parties and a number of items that enhance and enrich our students’ lives.
Last school year, the Hickey Elementary PTA:
● Provided a pumpkin for every student to decorate in the Fall
● Card My Yard signs to decorate the school lawn during special occasions
● Rope Masters Show during Red Ribbon week and purchased a jump rope for each student
● Dino George Traveling Museum in the Spring
● Ninja Nation obstacle course for end of the year activity
● Three grade level parties throughout the year
● PTA Grants for teachers- plaster craft for art, additional library classes for our librarian learning Spanish, classroom supplies
for Kindergarten
● Reading Club bins for each grade level
● Field Trips for all grade levels
● Hosted three Teacher and Staff Appreciation luncheons
● Organized the sale of school supplies & yearbook
● Provided all necessary supplies for onsite 5

th grade camp including t-shirts for each 5
th grader

Our annual silent auction runs February 23 - February 28, 2023. Contributions to the silent auction are critical to Hickey
Elementary, no matter the size of the gift. Each and every donation is needed and appreciated, and will, perhaps, give you an
opportunity to reach a population you haven’t yet reached. All donations are tax deductible. Every donor will receive recognition
through our communication channels, including our flyers, newsletter, website and social media.
