Description

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As we celebrate moving into the next decade of High Point Village’s story, we also start a new tradition with our Celebration
Gala, which will take place on October 24, 2019, in the Civic Center Ballroom. We are thrilled and honored to be the gala
chairs because we love the way High Point Village meets so many needs in our community.
This year, we are celebrating our Villagers who have found A Place to Belong at High Point Village. Over and over we
hear families (and staff!) say High Point feels like home. The evening will spotlight growth in individual Villagers, impact
on Villager families, expansion of our building, and plans for reaching more families in the South Plains area. Anthony
Downing and his family will be highlighted as the 2019 Family of the Year, a recognition presented to a family who has
been immensely impacted by the mission and work of our organization.

The mission of High Point Village is to create a village where individuals with intellectual disabilities can live, learn, work,
worship, and achieve their full potential. There are over 22,000 people with cognitive disabilities in the 15 counties that make
up the South Plains area. Upon completion of our building expansion, we will increase our enrollment by 50% to serve a
greater number of families in the South Plains. We appreciate your help as we grow all of our programs and continue to
provide enrichment, meaning, and purpose to the lives of people with special needs.
