This letter is written on behalf of Advocates for Homeless & Those in Need (AHTN) a local non-profit that serves the homeless and those in need, by providing year-long access to emergency shelter, food & other life sustaining services. As we wrap up on our 13th Code Blue season we are already looking ahead to our 14th Code Blue Season. With the support of local churches and volunteers, AHTN offers a safe place for someone in need to sleep during the cold winter months. Each night, our guests are provided transportation to the shelter, a warm meal, a cot with bedding and any other necessities that they may need such as a winter coat, boots, dry socks, first-aid, etc. In addition, families with children are a priority and we work closely with local resources to provide a safe environment for them. None of this can be made possible without donations from our local community. In addition to Code Blue we run 3 other programs. Wheels to Meals which provides a hot meal every day to anyone in need. The Shower Mission which provides transportation to a local motel for a shower and clean clothing. Our Those in Need mission provides resources and funding to help those on the verge of homelessness. This includes emergency shelter; move-in costs; prescriptions; eye exams and glasses; car repairs; and transportation to mental health and doctor's appointments; thrift stores; food pantries; drug court and the laundromat. For our 2022 fundraising season, AHTN has organized several events to help raise money for our donation needs. The monies raised will help us fund such things like gas and maintenance of our buses, warm clothing, bedding for the shelter etc. We are asking local businesses for their support by donating a gift certificate or item to be raffled off at one of our upcoming events. Currently we are looking for donations for our July 23rd Bingo event at St. Francis Cabrini. Here’s how you, your business or organization can help:

· $250 Sponsorship of a game – There will be 14 games with a prize valued at $250.

· Donation of $100 for consolation prize when there is more than one winner of a game.

· Donating gift certificates or items for raffle baskets. Please contact me to make arrangements for donation pick-up or you can mail to the address found below.
