Dear Business Owner:

The Lt. John W. Finn Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2080 and its Auxiliary are co-hosting a fundraising event on October 7, 2023. It will be a lunch with games and tournaments throughout the day, providing meals and entertainment to our veterans and their families, our mountain community members and guests from all over San Diego County. It will be the largest event that our Post hosts throughout this year to help raise monies for our programs. The Auxiliary is requesting any donation that you may be able to provide for our silent auction or raffle. Gift cards or certificates and donations to help cover the cost of the entertainment are also welcome.

Proceeds from this fundraiser go to help the VFW National Home, scholarships for local youth, and other programs such as VA Hospital, Emergency/Assistance/Disaster, Patriotic Art, Voice of Democracy, Patriot’s Pen, and Veterans Games. These funds are also used to help host two other Post 2080 events geared towards our Youth Activities program: our Annual Easter Egg Hunt/Bicycle Rodeo and the Annual Children’s Christmas party. These events help bring our community together and also aids in our cause to support veterans and their families through our organizations’ programs.

If you would like to send promotional material, such as banners or flyers, we will gladly hang them or hand them out at our Post. If you would like your donation picked up, I will be happy to make arrangements with you and send a representative from our Auxiliary or VFW Post.
