UPLIFT's Board, staff, and volunteers are delighted to announce the grand opening of our new office in downtown San Diego. As the need for essential homeless and student services increases, UPLIFT is dedicated to creating capacity to meet the need of the most vulnerable in our communities. With the opening of our new office, it is our hope to usher in a new era of updated programs and opportunities to serve.

The pandemic’s economic and health impacts on the working poor are far from over. While many of us are slowly returning to a state of “normalcy,” many students continue to struggle with school, families are recovering from economic turmoil, and our unhoused neighbors continue to struggle to access basic needs such as food and clothing. You can be a Champion for Change for individuals and families struggling with poverty and housing instability in San Diego! 

Since 1987, UPLIFT San Diego has provided free homeless and student services for those in San Diego’s urban communities. However, the calling to serve has never been so strong. It is only through supporters, such as yourself, who donate their time and money, can we maintain our momentum. UPLIFT San Diego is currently positioned in a stage of unprecedented growth! We are moving to a new office located in the heart of downtown, expanding current and new programs to serve more individuals than ever before, and hiring passionate and dedicated staff members to achieve our mission.

2021 Holiday Champions for Change are those who love our community and understand how people’s lives are changed by UPLIFT's programs and want to help support that. Because our programs have alway been, and will continue to be free for all, we rely heavily on supporters, such as yourself, to help close the gap between the cost of our programs and the support we are able to provide for the must vulnerable in our community.

How to become a Champion for Change this holiday season:​

1. Choose an UPLIFT program you wish to support (Home Team, Kids at Heart, Swimming Upstream, and/or Triple Cross).
2. Choose at which level you would like to support that program (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, or Custom).
3. Donate online and receive "Champion for Change" benefits based on your level of giving.​
