We would like to officially invite you to join us for the long-awaited return of our Holiday Craft Fair this fall!  We have not been able to host this event for the past 2 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but with a few minor changes we are so excited to welcome everyone back!  This year the Craft Fair will be located at Hyder Hospice House.  We will have signs directing everyone where to go.  We can’t wait to share this very special event once again to help fundraise for our Resident Council Fund.  Come visits us at Apple Harvest Day on October 1 in Dover, NH for our preview sale!

            The Craft Fair is our largest fundraiser.  We will kick it off with our raffle on November 1st through the day of the event on November 18th.  We will have over 20 raffle prizes, including a Lettuce Grow 24-plant Hydroponic Farm Stand, Roomba, Patriots Corn Hole Set, Briefcase Turntable – just to name a few.  The day of the Craft Fair we will be selling holiday décor, crafts, baked items, t-shirts, plants and our famous Game of Chance.  There are many ways you can help support our event – below are just some examples:

 ·        Have any new or like-new items you don’t need? Donate it to our Game of Chance, where you buy 10 random raffle tickets for $1 and if any end in a zero, you win a mystery gift! 

·        Donate a raffle item – our most popular prizes are gift cards.  You can also provide a bottle of wine or liquor towards our Wine or Booze Basket!

·        Attend the event on November 18th or our after-sale on November 19th

·        Donate handmade or craft items to add to our fair as a friend of Riverside

·        Donate baked goods from a bakery or store for our bake sale

·        Or by simply spreading the word!

For those who do not know, all the money from our Resident Council Fund is solely from donations and fundraisers alone.  This account allows us to do special things for our residents that our regular budget does not.  Attached you will see a glimpse of the things we have been able to provide for our residents this past year.  This pandemic has been especially difficult for nursing homes, but thanks to this fund we were able to provide a lot of joy to our residents. 

 If you do wish to make a donation, we ask that raffle donations be made by October 28th.  All other donations can be made by November 17th. 

Riverside is a government facility and is not-for-profit. Per Internal Revenue Service regulations, Riverside cannot assign any values to the donated items. We can provide you with our EIN number for tax purposes: EIN# 02-6000860 if you do choose to donate to our cause.  Any businesses that donate will be represented in our popular raffle flyer as well as on the day of the event asking to support these businesses as you have supported us.
