Given the violence, assaults, murder and negative press aimed at America’s law enforcement, we are experiencing a 60-90% reduction in applicants in addition to a huge spike in law enforcement officers leaving or retiring from police work. These issues have caused the remaining officers to be overworked and have increased stress levels, resulting in even lower morale. I am hoping to increase the morale of my officers and dispatchers of my agency and reward/thank them with various gifts for their consistent service and dedication.
