Los Compadres de Escuela Longfellow is seeking your support for our K-8 Spanish Language Immersion Program. Los Compadres is a parent teacher, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Escuela Longfellow is a magnet school where English-speaking children are taught the Spanish language as they study academic subjects according to the curriculum guidelines of the district and state of California. Magnet schools are public schools designed to bring together students with a variety of socioeconomic and demographic backgrounds. Longfellow is in its forty-fourth year as a Spanish immersion magnet school in the San Diego Unified School District and currently serves 680 students.

• The mission of Longfellow Spanish Emmersion Magnet School is to provide a nurturing environment of academic excellence which provides for the development of a responsible cross-cultural world citizen with an enriched understanding of self and others.
• The mission of Los Compadres de Escuela Longfellow is to support the mission, vision, and priorities of Longfellow Spanish Immersion Magnet School by providing volunteer and financial resources that enrich the lives of every student in our socioeconomically and geographically diverse learning community.

We are asking for your help in making this year's exciting parents' night out a success by contirbuting an item for our auction. This year's event is May 14th and the theme is Hollywood Nights! The money raised from this event will help Los Compadres support programs of literacy, science, arts, and culture at Escuela Longfellow.  In recognition of your donation, your business name will be featured on our Silent Auction website and in our communications which reach over 900 parents.
