Description

Homecoming/Spirit Week is a school-wide function of events that promotes in one's self and their school in an enviornment that is both educational and fun. The Homecoming basketball game is played at an alternate site and where students with profound, severe, and moderate disabilities, both current and alumni, are supported by peers from Best Buddies from Oxford Academy.  Participants play regardless of their skill level and are afforded the opportunity to play in a friendly game of basketball.  As with any high school, a homecoming king and queen are crowned during the halftime ceremony.  The king and queen are voted upon by the entire student body of Hope School.  An opportunity drawing will also take place during the halftime of the basketball game and prizes will be raffled off during this time.  The monies rasied from donations from generous companies will help to fund and support educational programs for the entire school.
