Description

Like so many other foundations last year, the Super Sam Foundation had to move our annual Hope
Gala to a hybrid event. We couldn’t have been more appreciative of the continued support
through this unprecedented time. The Super Sam Foundation is looking forward to hosting our 8th
Annual Hope Gala in a hybrid format, accommodating both in person and virtual, this year on
Friday, September 30, 2022 at The CBO Event Center - Elks Lodge #594 located in Columbia, MO.
This event will include a semi-formal dinner, silent and live auctions, presentations, and
entertainment. The cost is $80 per person or $150 per couple and all proceeds will go directly to
the Super Sam Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation.

The Super Sam Foundation was started by Matt and Cassie Santhuff, who lost their six-year-old
son, Super Sam, to a rare childhood cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma) in the fall of 2014. Currently less
than 4% of federal funding for cancer research is devoted to childhood cancers. Because childhood
cancer gets so little funding, the foundation’s goals are to carry on Sam’s mission to help All the
Kids, by raising awareness, supporting advocacy, providing support to Heroes in the Fight and their
families, and funding research. To date, we have funded over $330,000 in pediatric cancer
research, sent 3,000 support packs, helped advocate for two federal bills passed in the last three
years and worked tirelessly to raise awareness.

The Hope Gala is our largest fundraiser and to be successful we need your help. Will you support
Sam’s mission with an item for our silent or live auction? We need items of all price ranges and
themes. Your donation will be advertised directly to approximately 400 supporters at the event
and thousands when posted to our online silent auction page and social media pages promoting
the event in September.

Don’t have an item to donate, but would like to support Sam’s mission? A “Friend of Hope” gift
may be the right choice for you! Your $100 donation will be listed in the event program for all to
see that you support Sam and All the Kids.

If you have any questions about our mission, or how you can help, please contact Emily Twillman
at emily@supersamfoundation.com or Heather Harrison at heather@supersamfoundation.com.
