The Williamson County Children’s Advocacy Center (WCCAC) is a non-profit organization that provides needed assistance to abused children, non-offending family members, and the professionals dedicated to the intervention, investigation, prosecution, and treatment options related to child abuse cases. Team collaboration with law enforcement, CPS, prosecutors, nurses, victim and family advocates, and mental health professionals, improves the quality of investigation and keeps children from experiencing further trauma due to re-telling the details of their abuse. The WCCAC provides services free of charge to Williamson County children (ages 2-17) who have suffered sexual or physical abuse, been a witness to abuse or crime, or may be at risk for neglect in their own home. We offer free “wrap around” victim services in one location, including forensic interviews, family advocacy, forensic medical nursing, trauma therapy as well as providing prevention education to the community.
