Description

You are cordially invited to Hope Hospice's Roaring 20s gala.  Enjoy a delicious plated meal, cocktails and libations, signature drinks featuring Bahnbrecker Slow River Blend Hefeweizen Whiskey, music from Yesenia McNett and the Groove Doctors, dancing, casino games, a live and silent auction, and more. All proceeds benefit the Hope Hospice Foundation and the mission of Hope Hospice by supporting the Hope Hospice Children's Grief Program, Youth & Family Grief Camps, community grief counseling provided through the Hampel-Wuest Grief & Hope Center, We Honor Veterans program, uninsured and underinsured patients, and the mission of Hope Hospice.

The Family Grief Program offers counseling, support groups, and grief camps to the greater community for families with children under the age of 18 impacted by the death of a loved one. The program seeks to assist families with identifying symptoms of grief and utilizing healthy coping strategies before the impact becomes a larger problem. Studies based on general population samples suggest bereaved children have a significantly increased risk of developing psychiatric disorders, and the impact on a child, psychologically and socially, may last throughout childhood and into adult life if not addressed early on. Our program seeks to strengthen families by providing an environment for children, parents and caregivers to focus on their grief and understand their grieving process. Individual and family grief counseling, support groups and camps are provided for free to the public, regardless if their loved one was served by Hope Hospice’s hospice care.

The We Honor Veterans Program provides specialized support to Veterans at end of life in our hospice care, recognizing the unique needs of America’s Veterans and their families. We provide information and assistance with Veterans Administration benefits and services, individual recognition ceremonies where Veterans are honored and thanked for their service, and Veteran-to-Veteran volunteer program, where Veterans from the community provide companionship, all of which serve our Veterans, who bravely served us.

As unfunded programs intended to serve the larger community, funds raised through our special events allow us to ensure the program is available to all who need it who otherwise could not afford it.

At this time, Hope Hospice Foundation would greatly appreciate your consideration of an item for our live or silent auction which would make a great addition to our event to help Give Hope!

Should you have any questions or need further information from us, please do not hesitate to contact us at (830) 625-7525 or give@hopehospice.net. We look forward to hearing from you soon!
