Hot Dogs and Cool Cats
Carnival/Festival for Good Shepherd Humane SocietyJun 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
For our inaugural Hot Dogs and Cool Cats event, Good Shepherd Humane Society will be teaming up with the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (https://www.turpentinecreek.org/) to raise money for the dogs and big cats of Carroll County, Arkansas.
Turpentine Creek's mission is to provide lifetime refuge for abused and neglected "big cats" with emphasis on tigers, lions, leopards, and cougars. They serve the community by educating the public to work to end the Exotic Animal Trade and bring light to issues threatening the preservation of cats in the wild.
Good Shepherd Humane Society aims to care for the stray, abandoned, and unwanted dogs and cats of Carroll County, Arkansas, placing as many as possible into loving homes. We work to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and provide access to low cost spay/neuter and vaccine services, as well as a pet food pantry.
For our Hot Dogs and Cool Cats event, we are seeking donations for raffle prizes. This event will be a fundraiser, as well as an adoption event for shelter dogs and an educational event via tours of the sanctuary facility.
All proceeds of the raffle will go to both the Humane Society and the Wildlife Refuge to care for the animals and provide low-cost services to the public.
