Description

As the holiday season approaches, we’re reminded of how powerful a small act of kindness can be in the lives of those who need a helping hand. At the Mixed Behavior Foundation, we are launching our Humble Giving Initiative, an effort to provide support, dignity, and care to the unhoused members of our community.

Many unhoused individuals have faced additional hardships with the passage of SB 1011, resulting in the loss of personal belongings. This has left them without basic necessities, which is why we are reaching out to generous individuals and businesses like yours for in-kind donations of the following items:
 1-gallon zip lock bags (for care packages)
 Bars of soap
 Body wash
 Shampoo and conditioner
 Lotion
 Toothpaste and toothbrushes
 Deodorant
 Masks
 Hand sanitizer
 Wipes
 Face towels
 Feminine hygiene products
 Gloves

 Combs and brushes
 Socks
 Band-aids and first aid supplies
 Lip balm
 Non-perishable snacks (granola bars, crackers, etc.)

Your donation will directly benefit those who are most vulnerable in our community. By providing these essential items, you are not only meeting immediate needs, but also offering a message of dignity, hope, and care during a time when many feel overlooked and discarded.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your in-kind donations are tax-deductible, and this is a wonderful opportunity to contribute before the year ends. We would be honored to acknowledge your generosity in our community events and across our social media platforms, highlighting the critical support you are providing.

If you are able to contribute, please contact us at development@mixedbehaviorfoundation.onmicrosoft.com or (925) 430-8295 to arrange a donation drop-off or pick-up. We truly appreciate any assistance you can provide in making this initiative a success.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with us in restoring dignity and support to our unhoused neighbors during the holiday season.
