HYPE Night is an annual celebration designed to (a) generate awareness of HYPE’s mission to fortify the tech pipeline for women and girls of color, (b) celebrate women, girls, and organizations who are making significant achievements fostering equity in STEM education, and (c) raise money for HYPE while having a little fun. This year’s HYPE Night will be a hybrid event taking place on October 13th and will feature a fun-filled game show theme!

HYPE Night 2022 will feature: 

• A live game-show style event where our HYPE students will test their trivia knowledge against local Atlanta professionals 
• A hybrid experience where our viewers can attend as either part of the live studio audience, or view it virtually at home 
• VIP Networking Happy Hour 
• HYPE Future of Tech Scholarship Award Announcement – 4 $2500 scholarships awarded to local high school junior and senior girls to further their pursuit of STEM post-secondary degree opportunities
• Custom gift box courtesy of our sponsors and local vendors for virtual and in-person attendees 
• Prize giveaways and Raffle drawings 

HYPE's mission is to plug the leaky tech pipeline problem for women and girls of color by building a tech talent network through intentional exploration, education, and empowerment. Through HYPE Night, we hope to raise awareness of our mission while continuing to educate others on why this work we do is so important. The astounding lack of women of color in STEM careers is largely due to racial barriers starting in early education, and while HYPE is working to address these barriers for our students, we aim to inspire others in our mission so that we may continue to advocate for change.

We are seeking suitable prizes for our raffle drawings, as selling raffle tickets is one of the ways we will be raising funds for our mission. This event is hybrid so it will include in-person and virtual attendees watching the live stream online via Twitch.
