Re:   Donation for IACAC Silent Auction/Raffle

On behalf of the Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling (IACAC), a leading organization of college counseling professionals, I am requesting donations for a silent auction for 2024. This will help raise necessary funds for programming and events designed to assist high school students with their college search and transition.  We work with high school counselors to help make sure no child is left behind and all avenues have been explored for postsecondary education after high school.

Our organization has been highly effective in promoting college awareness and preparation to both students and families.  A small sample of work we do include:

  • Organizing more than 35 college fairs throughout Chicago and covering the entire state of Illinois serving as many as 150,000 students and families annually.
  • Meet with state legislators to lobby for educational issues at the local, state and national levels in order to insure access to college for our students.
  • Fund $10,000 in annual scholarships.
  • Conduct Financial Aid and Scholarship workshops for families.
  • Conduct in depth workshops for first generation college students to assist in the college search process.
  • Provide professional development opportunities for our membership to raise the level of benefit our students receive from their work and service.

If you could donate money, items or gift cards it would not only further advance our initiatives, but we also hope you see benefit through increased business and exposure. Our silent auction/raffle will be held during our annual conference, which will bring together about 1,000 attendees between April 24-26, 2024.  Our tax ID # is 36-2857025.

Please mail your donation by April 10, 2024 to:
