The Imagine Gala benefit celebrates the philanthropic commitment and community leadership of notable and deserving honorees: Sy Sternberg, Webster Bank | John R. Ciulla & Erin Fuller, and June K. Blanc. 

The Gala is a critical fundraiser of United Way of Westchester and Putnam's Annual Campaign to help support the most vulnerable among us struggling daily to afford their basic needs. The evening will consist of dinner, the program, and awards.

Sy Sternberg – Chairman’s Award | Seymour “Sy” Sternberg has been a long-time generous supporter of United Way and a member of its Tocqueville Society. Sy is former chairman and chief executive officer of New York Life Insurance Company, one of the largest mutual life insurance companies in the world, and supported an extraordinarily successful, branded United Way campaign for many years. Sy currently serves on many nonprofit boards including NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and The Hackley School and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Webster Bank, John R. Ciulla and Erin Fuller – Philanthropy and Corporate Citizenship Award | John Ciulla and Erin Fuller have long supported the communities where they live and work, as well as the nonprofits providing help to those in need. For many years, Erin and John have been generous Tocqueville donors to United Way both locally and regionally. John is President and Chief Executive Officer of Webster Bank which supports many nonprofits serving low-moderate income individuals and families. United Way is Webster Bank’s primary charity.

June K. Blanc – Community Service Award | After a career in urban planning, June Blanc became a dedicated community volunteer, known for her leadership and service. June has served on the United Way of Westchester and Putnam board of directors since 2013 and was chair from 2018-2020. She is the Chair-Elect of United Way of New York State and over the years, has served on many nonprofit boards including Northern Westchester Hospital and its Foundation Board, St. Matthew’s Church, and many other organizations.
