On Friday, October 13, 2023, PRS will celebrate 60 years of hope with our signature fundraising event – Imagine Hope Benefit. This highly anticipated event will attract over 300 stakeholders, elected officials, and business and community members to the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. The need for mental health, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention services is greater than ever. One in five adults in the U.S. experienced mental illness in 2021 but only 47.2% of adults received treatment. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10-14 and the 12th leading cause of death overall in the U.S.
PRS provides behavioral health services to over 1,800 individuals and families across Northern Virginia every year. PRS’ CrisisLink program handles over 140,000 crisis and suicide calls, texts, and chats annually in Virginia and across the country as a national back-up center for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. Join us as we work to meet the needs of those in crisis or experiencing mental health challenges.
