Description

On October 8, 2022, Citizens Against Spouse Abuse, Inc. (CASA) will be hosting our 6th Annual In Her Shoes event with the theme of Moonlight Masquerade, Unmasking Domestic Violence. The purpose of this event is to raise awareness and revenues for CASA to continue to our work to help survivors of rape and abuse in our area. In Her Shoes 2021 raised over $75,000 to help us meet the needs of those we serve. The event will feature games, live and silent auctions, dinner, drinks, and a Mr. In Her Shoes competition. This competition features men from our community who are vying for the coveted Mr. In Her Shoes title. Each gentleman hosts their own individual fundraiser before our event. At the end of the night at In Her Shoes, then men walk in high heels collecting donations from participants attending the event. The gentleman that raises the most money is crowned Mr. In Her Shoes. The Mr. In Her Shoes contestants wear high heels to symbolize the walk that many domestic and sexual violence survivors take to overcoming the trauma of their abuse situations and to also show solidarity with survivors. The Mr. In Her Shoes competition raised over $16,000 at the 2021 event. CASA is currently seeking sponsorships and donations for our 6th annual event. Sponsor levels range from $500 to $10,000, and we are happy to report we have already secured our first $10,000 sponsor for the 2022 event. We will begin early table sales in August 2022 for $350 for a table of 8. Individual ticket sales will begin in September 2022 for $50 each. This event has sold out the last three years.
